Bitumen for sale in India

More than 100 million tons of bitumen for sale in India are currently used in the world, of which about 40% is consumed in Asia.

The share of the Americas and the Caribbean is about 30%, and 18% is consumed in European countries.

Russia and the CIS account for 7% of bitumen consumption, while Africa and Oceania together account for 5% of total global bitumen consumption.

Generally speaking, the total volume of bitumen imports in the world is 24 million tons, of which China,

the United States, India, France, and Indonesia are among the largest importers of bitumen in the world.

On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Iran produces about 5 million tons of bitumen per year

and exports 3.5 million tons of bitumen which is the reason for the country titled as the third-largest exporter of bitumen in the world.

In general, South Korea with a 15% share, Singapore with a 12% share and Iran with an 11% share of

the world bitumen export market are the main players in the world bitumen trade.

According to studies and forecasts on the economic future of the world, the highest GDP

growth by 2050 will be in the countries of the Asian region, and among the top 5 countries

in the world economy in 2050 analysts predict that 4 Asian countries will be present.

In this regard, China with 27 million tons of bitumen consumption

in 2015 has always been the largest market for bitumen consumption in the world.

According to the Chinese government’s economic development plans,

very large infrastructure projects, especially in the field of highways and local access roads,

have been defined in this country, so that

the amount of bitumen consumption in this country

will increase in the next 5 years reaching 30 million tons per year.

India is another major consumer and importer of bitumen for sale in India and the world,

with economic growth of 7.3 percent in 2015-2014, which increased to 8.5 percent in 2017-2016.

According to the report of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of India prepared by the Economic and Statistics Unit

of this ministry, the amount of bitumen production in this country during 2015-2014 amounted to 4 million and 600 thousand tons.

On the other hand, the volume of Indian bitumen demand is expected to increase

from 5 million 970 thousand tons in 2016-2017 to 7 million 200 thousand tons in 2021-2022.

Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Vietnam are also among the main importers of bitumen in the world.
