Fell in Truck Prices in the UK and Ireland
Truck-delivered bitumen prices in the UK fell for the second week, dropping by another $15 to $16 per ton to land between $515 to $535 per ton, following similar losses in early May. These adjustments reflect the full impact of April’s price correction.
Ongoing Decline in France
Northern and central France saw prices decrease by $7 to $9 per ton, settling between $515 to $530 per ton. Meanwhile, prices in southern France dropped significantly, around $13 to $14 per ton, to hit the $505 to $520 per ton range. Supply gaps from ExxonMobil’s Port Jerome refinery continued to affect local availability.
Stability Holds in Poland & Czech Republic
Poland’s domestic ex-works prices stayed steady at $468 to $478 per ton, while Czech rates rose slightly to $440 to $455 per ton. Cross-border truck exports to Germany remained unchanged at $420 to $430 per ton.
Demand Repairs in Ukraine
Bitumen sales slowed as spring pothole repairs concluded and weather conditions worsened. Import prices in western Ukraine dipped due to a stronger local currency and decreased buying interest.
Stable Prices in Hungary
Domestic prices held at $485 to $495 per ton, backed by a strong Q1 refinery performance from MOL, which increased production compared to 2024’s maintenance-impacted operations.
Slight Uptick in Domestic Rates in Romania
Prices rose by $2 to $3 per ton, now ranging between $502 to $518 per ton, driven by adjusted ex-works offers from key refiners Rompetrol and Vitaro, based in Ploiesti and Galati, respectively
